| Map | What the name points to |
|---|---|
| Downtown | City streets and buildings in the center of Chicago |
| Suburbs | Houses, yards and quiet streets outside the city |
| The Trenches | Tight blocks and alleys, the game's take on the hood |
| Chicago Mall | An indoor shopping mall |
The store page lists only these four names; the descriptions follow them. Patch 1.0.10 also mentions a small "supermarket" map where fights are fast because the space is tight, and a Tpose Gaming guide lists Supermarket and a Nuketown-style map among the maps in rotation. Steam screenshots below show a supermarket and a shopping mall.
Spawns and spawn protection
Spawn trapping was one of the most common complaints after launch: in our read of 914 Steam reviews, 83 mentioned spawns. Patch 1.0.10 adjusted spawns and added spawn protection. The developer notes that small maps will still have short time to kill.
Is Hood Warfare 2 set in the real Chicago?
No. The game says it is fiction and does not promote real gang violence. The maps borrow Chicago names, but players from Chicago point out the layouts are not real places.
