Short answer: HOWIn Hood Warfare 2 you build a loadout from a gun, its attachments (sights, magazines, grips, suppressors and more), perks and equipment. You unlock weapons and equipment by leveling up your reputation in matches, earn attachments through weapon challenges, and unlock gun skins with kills.

The structure comes from the Steam description. Trapstar Games has not published a weapon list, unlock levels or perk stats; the names below come from a Tpose Gaming guide whose author played the game for hours.

Enemy weapons generally cannot be picked up, per the same guide. Expect the list to grow with updates; we will add weapons once a patch note or a reliable guide names them.

Perks (passives)

HP: extra health.
Speed: faster movement, like a stim.
Utility: equipment-focused.
Ammo: more ammunition. Recommended early, because you run dry often.

A good first loadout

Chopper or AKM with a mini red dot, a vertical grip and a suppressor once unlocked, a Glock as secondary and the Ammo perk. That is the starter build Tpose Gaming recommends, and it suits most maps and modes. Swap to the Uzi or Mac 10 for the mall and supermarket, or the 308 for open streets.

Reputation: how leveling works

Playing matches builds your reputation, the game's word for your player level. Each level unlocks more weapons and equipment. Bot matches are a low-pressure way to play while you learn the maps, but whether they earn as much reputation as online matches has not been confirmed.

Attachments and weapon challenges

Every gun has its own challenges. Completing them unlocks attachments for that gun, so the more you use a weapon, the more you can tune it: a sight for range, a grip for recoil, a bigger magazine for longer fights, or a suppressor to stay off the map. Reported attachments include reflex, holo and mini red dot sights, a flashlight, a suppressor and a vertical grip; some, such as removing the stock, need specific challenges like kills without aiming down sights.

Gun skins

Kills with each gun unlock new skins for it. Steam screenshots show a gold finish on one weapon, and players describe gold camos as a long kill grind. Skins are cosmetic; nothing on the store page says they change how a gun handles.

Loadout presets not saving?

At launch, loadout presets did not always save. Patch 1.0.10 on October 12, 2026 fixed it, along with progression not showing at the end of a match. Update the game if your loadouts still reset, and see the fixes page if they do after that.
